Epwin Window Systems has taken delivery of its second Luna R automatic profile lamination machine, which further increases the company’s foiling capacity. Clare O’Hara, Managing Director at Epwin Window Systems, said: “This latest investment will support the continuing growth for our coloured products by reducing set up times, increasing product output and delivering superb product accuracy.”
The innovative Luna R machine offers the best in lamination technology with an automatic set-up allowing Epwin Window Systems to efficiently scale-up their foiling capacity in line with demand. The machine’s flexibility and intelligent technology can wrap even the most complex of profiles whilst delivering exceptional product quality.
The six-figure investment in the Luna R machine is part of Epwin Window Systems’ long-term strategic plan and continuing investment in colour technology. Clare said: “With colour being a key driver in architecture, we introduced our new Colour Collection earlier in 2020. This Collection reflected the latest trends in colours across our PVC-U systems with a range of traditional, contemporary, metallics and designer-influenced hues.”
“The demand for our coloured products has risen exponentially and has resulted in this latest investment to ensure we can offer a competitive, high-quality offer to our customers throughout 2021.”
Having taken delivery of the machine before Christmas, the new Luna R Machine is expected to be up and running at the Telford-foiling plant in January 2021.
Epwin Window Systems has a long track record of continuous investment in its systems and processes to ensure it continues to meet the needs of its customers. In 2019 it became the first UK company to take delivery of the Luna R lamination machine and its new investment is the latest example of this ethos in action.
