The business manager of one of Birmingham’s leading window and door manufacturers is delighted to be partnering with The Glazing Summit 2019.
Howard Trotter of Shelforce was among a select group of experts who spoke at the inaugural event last year and is pleased that the industry will have the chance to get together once again.
The eagerly anticipated conference takes place on Thursday, September 12th at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre, Birmingham and will bring together hundreds of business leaders, CEOs and stakeholders from the industry’s most influential companies.
Howard said: “The Glazing Summit provided a vital platform to discuss the future of the sector going forward and as soon as we heard it was happening again this year, we wanted to show our support.”
Shelforce specialises in providing high quality products to local authority building projects and is Birmingham City Council’s chosen manufacturer of choice, with 75% of its workforce disabled.
Howard spoke last year about the skills shortage and he added: “Being able to let the industry know about how we’ve benefitted hugely from the in-built resilience of disabled workers is vital.
“Topics such as the skills shortage and diversity in the workplace are hugely important and The Glazing Summit is the perfect platform to get our message out.”
The Glazing Summit will be packed with industry insight, advice and discussion thanks to key-note speakers across two stages, including the new Technical Stage.
Andrew Scott, the founder of the Glazing Summit and CEO of glazing industry specialists Insight Data and Purplex Marketing, commented: “One of the biggest challenges facing the industry is a skills shortage so Shelforce’s commitment to training and employment is vital. We’re delighted they are onboard once again.”
