VISTA INVITES INSTAGRAM ‘DOORK’ TO SEE XTREMEDOOR IN ALL IT’S GLORY

Award-winning composite door supplier Vista’s XtremeDoor has been given the thumbs up – by one of the biggest door lovers on the internet.

The Wirral-based company invited Instagram ‘Doork’ and DOORCO Creative Consultant Jeyda up to Liverpool to see its signature door at three sites in the city.

She was also taken to see some of the city’s most iconic doors, including the doors of John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s childhood homes and a visit to the Georgian Quarter to look at real timber doors.

Ian Smith, Vista’s Business Development and Marketing Manager, explained: “Doorco provide the slab for our market-leading XtremeDoor so we wanted to show Jeyda the finished article and, more importantly, how they look on people’s houses.

“After 30 years of white PVCu panelled doors, we are giving the public some colour, style and individuality back when it comes to their front doors with XtremeDoor

“And there’s nobody with a better eye for both style and colour than Jeyda. Liverpool showcases a real mix of old and new styles and it was great to demonstrate how XtremeDoor is perfect for both environments.”

Jeyda is a self-confessed door geek, or ‘Doork,’ with a love of doors on Instagram that was picked up by BBC News as well as DOORCO.

Ian took her to a block of student housing overlooking the Cathedral, which Vista had fully kitted out with a York style XtremeDoor.

Then it was onto the city’s historic Welsh Streets, where Vista’s XtremeDoor was the door of choice for a huge, award-winning, redevelopment project which saw the important terrace reimagined by preserving rich heritage features whilst introducing several modern design interventions.

The doors were installed in a range of colours and have helped turn the properties into high-quality homes and play a part in the area’s remarkable revival.

Then it was onto some nearby houses to see the contrast between an XtremeDoor and a non-XtremeDoor, with Jeyda commenting on her blog: “The difference each time was stark, with Vista’s installation being a clear winner if there were ever to be a ‘Who’s Got the Best Door’ competition.”

Ian added: “We’re glad Jeyda enjoyed her tour of Liverpool and was impressed and inspired by our XtremeDoor. XtremeDoor is a complete all-rounder – not only is it one of the best in the business performance-wise when it comes to security and thermal performance, but it looks the part too.”

Founded in 1995, Vista specialises in composite and uPVC panels and doors, supplying to fabricators across the UK and Europe. Vista was recently acquired by Eurocell, the UK’s leading manufacturers of uPVC products. The continued success of the XtremeDoor now means Vista produces an astonishing 150 composite doors a day.
