GQA to Have Key Role at Big 5 Construct Saudi in February

GQA will showcase its services at the end of February this year at Saudi Arabia’s largest construction show, BIG 5 Construct Saudi. The awarding and qualifications writing body is to sponsor the Business Lounge located in the show’s UK Pavilion. This area of the event provides a platform for the best of UK-based manufacturing and service provision operating in the region.  Having doubled in size between 2022 and 2023, BIG 5 Construct Saudi offers an outstanding platform to build meaningful connections with over 44,000 active buyers and potential partners.

Commenting on GQA’s presence at the show, Mick Clayton, the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer says:

“This is a fantastic opportunity for buyers, potential partners, government representatives and other delegates to come together and talk about how not just GQA but other UK-based organisations can play a meaningful role in the region. Our commitment extends to assisting organisations in their pursuit of qualifications or accredited training and elevating the skills of their workforce.”

Dan Brown, GQA’s Strategic Relationships Manager adds:

“We provide guidance and support to sector advisory groups and government departments, facilitating the establishment and implementation of compliance and competency standards. This collective effort aims to enhance quality and safety standards within their respective industries. In addition, we’re also looking forward to meeting British Embassy officials the day before the event begins. All in all, I am confident the show will help to fly the flag for UK participation in Saudi Arabia’s future development.”

With a proven track record of already providing high quality training support for the Oil and Gas industry in Saudi Arabia, GQA offers a wide range of qualifications to enable companies in the kingdom to develop the infrastructure they need. GQA’s qualifications and accredited training opportunities span eighteen sectors including construction, glass, building envelope, nuclear, petrochemical, polymer, water treatment, laboratory operations and engineering.

The vision for Saudi Arabia 2030 is to embrace a strategic framework in order to reduce the country’s dependence on oil, diversify its economy, and develop public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation and tourism. It is currently estimated that there are over $1.6 trillion of infrastructure and real estate projects in Saudi Arabia.

BIG 5 Construct Saudi will take place at Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre 26 – 29 February 2024.
