To offer customers a bigger range of products and faster turnaround times, Bedfordshire Windows, Bedford-based trade PVCu and aluminium fabricator, has invested in two new machines a Wegoma WSA-4-LVE Vertical Welding Machine and an Avantek Supercut 6 Quad welding machine.
“As we have grown, we wanted to add capacity to stay ahead of demand,” says Gary Walker, Joint Managing Director of Bedfordshire Windows. “We took time to choose the best combination of machinery to increase both automation as well as adding timber-look joints to create traditional style windows.
“Today’s homeowners are more savvy about window styles, and offering an alternative joint makes a massive difference to the finished installation. Much of the pre-1950s housing stock windows look more in keeping with the property when the timber looks joints are used. Customers can combine the timber-look joints with our huge range of colour and woodgrain options for an even more authentic look. Plus, timber look joints can be installed in more modern homes to make a design statement.
