Halo customer, Aztec Windows (Coventry) Ltd, celebrates 30 successful years in business this year.

The Coventry company was established in April 1988 and has built up a loyal clientele of both trade and domestic customers over the last three decades.

Director Michael Hagan explains: “We’re very proud to be celebrating this milestone, especially in such a competitive sector, where lots of window and door companies have come and gone over the years.

“I think the secret to our success has been that we have adapted with the marketplace and not hesitated in following our instincts. In 2006, we went from being an installation company – to being a fabricator, and haven’t looked back. We maintained the same commitment to quality, and so our reputation for attention-to-detail thrived.

“We have been a Halo customer since 1996, first as an installation company and now as a fabricator. The systems have evolved over the years, as have we. Being an installer helps us a lot when it comes to our product range. We had seen the type of windows and doors that homeowners were requesting and our move into fabrication meant that we could provide these bespoke solutions for ourselves. Working with Halo, we began to fabricate the quality products we wanted to see in the market, and it became clear that others wanted them too. Our trade supply arm has grown steadily year on year, with word-of-mouth recommendations meaning that we get a lot of new and repeat business.

“The company has developed in a really interesting way over the years. Rather than simply becoming bigger, we have become more specialised; with the capacity to provide bespoke styles and special colours to local homes and businesses and deliver to installation companies across the country. We recently took some bespoke doors from Coventry to Cornwall, which demonstrates the fact that our products are increasingly being sought out across the length and breadth of the UK.

“VEKA Group has been a great partner for us, as Halo systems have allowed us to create windows that have all the energy efficiency benefits of PVC-U, but look like timber. Our ‘Prestige Collection® has gained recognition throughout the industry for being a great timber alternative, and our new small composite door, Tinidor is gaining ground too. We’re proud that products like these have set us head and shoulders above the competition.”

VEKA Group Sales Director Neil Evans said: “Aztec is a great example of a Halo customer. The team work extremely hard, and really make the most of the systems we provide. After 30 years of success, the company isn’t resting on its laurels but is continuing to innovate. This is a company capable of serving trade customers far and wide, yet it has a reputation for quality and customer service that might usually be associated with a much smaller, local firm. Congratulations to all the team, I look forward to seeing what Aztec will achieve over the next 30 years.”
