More than 750 people flocked to UAP’s exhibition stand at FIT Show 2023 with the company’s latest innovations generating hundreds of sales leads.
The event, which is the UK’s largest for the doors and window trade, saw UAP showcase its vast portfolio of door and window hardware. Visitors also got the chance to win prizes by entering a crack the code competition, and flipping UAP branded beer mats.
The biggest attraction proved to be the IONIC, an ultra-secure electronic lock which is the first in a series of smart products to be offered under UAP’s Fullex Ai brand. Quick and easy to install, the lock can be operated using a smartphone App, a fob, a push button on the inside of the door, a thumb turn, or an override key.
Visitors queued to see demonstrations of the IONIC and how it maximises security and convenience for homeowners.
“The IONIC is completely unique and we were able to demonstrate why on our stand,” said Barry Halpin, National Sales Director for UAP. “The feedback we received was incredible, not only from our existing customers, but potential new contacts and even some competitors.”
Other popular products on display were the Soterian Slim TS008 letterplate, the Flexi Lock which is offered under UAP’s Fullex brand, and the uPVC Universal Flip Axis hinge from Security Hardware, one of the latest companies to be acquired by UAP. A new Armadillo range of products, which provides an anti-bacterial coating for door hardware and is set to be formerly launched later this year, added to the stand.
The event was also an opportunity for UAP to promote the launch of a new company called Fire Door Maintenance (FDM) which will help organisations comply with the latest fire safety regulations. Headed by Nicola John, who has 19 years’ experience of the door manufacturing industry, FDM offers a bespoke door inspection service.
UAP’s CEO David Jennings added: “As a company that started life in a small room packing door knockers, we’ve come a long way and that was evident from our presence at the show.
“Seeing our latest products and innovations come together on an impressive stand was fantastic, as was the high level of interest from new and existing customers. We’re really encouraged by the positive feedback we received for all our products, and the volume of leads generated.”
The FIT Show took place from 23 – 25 May 2023 at the NEC in Birmingham.
