Ahead of next month’s attempt at completing the National Three Peak Challenge, Conservatory Outlet and its premium retailers are thrilled to announce that they have successfully raised over £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Led by Conservatory Outlet CEO Greg Kane, the group has seen donations flood in from friends, family and commercial partners. And now, the aim is to raise more than £6,000.
“I’m immensely proud of our fundraising efforts,” begins Greg Kane. “We have a fantastic team taking part in this challenge, and we all wanted to do it for a worthy cause.
“To raise over £5,000 is an incredible achievement. I want to thank all those who have donated so far and encourage others to do so. We really appreciate your support as we raise funds for Macmillan, one of the UK’s biggest and most important charities.”
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon), doing so in just 24 hours. The team will walk a combined distance of 23 miles, ascending over 3,000 metres.
As Greg explains, participants have been training hard and, buoyed by the recent surge in donations, are feeling good.
“We’ve been putting the miles in as we build up to our attempt. Seeing the fundraising total skyrocket has given us extra motivation to keep pushing. Only 40% of people who attempt the National Three Peaks complete it within 24 hours. We know we’ll be up against it, but the amazing support of our family, friends and the industry will spur us on!”
The attempt is taking place on Tuesday, 13th June.
