Now armed with the benefit of feedback from the retail installers appointed since last year’s FIT Show, GERDA has taken the lessons learned from its spectacular debut and distilled that information into its offer for visitors to its stand at the 2023 event.
With the information gleaned from last year’s appearance and combined with the real-world experience gained from the growing Gerda Retail Installer Network, visitors to this year’s stand (P31) will find a more relaxed atmosphere with a range of doors curated more finely for the UK market. Gerda Residential Doors, a household name in its native Poland, has worked with Gerda UK, to reflect British tastes as well as anticipating the tougher performance standards due with the impending Future Homes standard.
Gerda Residential Doors are unique in the UK with a range of contemporary steel and aluminium faced doors, that offer a level of thermal and security performance that is not available at this price point from any other brand. The past year has been used to develop classic four panel, glazed and unglazed styles in addition to the contemporary designs that have become so popular with buyers of aluminium windows in Britain and Ireland in recent years.
Gerda’s unique engineered construction uses steel or aluminium skins mounted on robust internal aluminium chassis, utilising a PU foam core that provides excellent thermal insulation. Gerda doors are specified throughout mainland Europe for their attention to security, with all doors enjoying multi point locks, three bolt main locks, anti-burglary vertical bolts, anti-theft pins and optional auxiliary locks for added security. New Fuhr hardware will be available on some models for 2023.
Following demand from UK installers, Pioneer Gerda will also be launching a fire door, whilst a new door configurator will link homeowners, installers and the factory to allow homeowners to design their own door whilst keeping lead times competitive with other premium door suppliers.
The new and enhanced products will be displayed on a stand that has also been designed to allow new and existing Gerda installers to take time out from a FIT Show that is expected to be frenetic, to make key decisions in a relaxed atmosphere.
