Industry golf event raises over £12,000 for GM Fundraising

Clearview and Pro Installer magazines’ inaugural Golf Day has raised over £12,000 for GM Fundraising in support of Hope House Children’s Hospices. The one-day event took place on 26th May at the Hickleton Golf Club in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

The new Golf Day included four-ball teams from companies across the industry with team and individual prizes available over the 18-holes of golf. A dinner and charity auction in support of GM Fundraising was held in the evening.

Gary Morton, founder of GM Fundraising, said: “On behalf of the team, I would like to thank Steve, Rob and everyone at Clearview and Pro Installer magazines for their inaugural golf day. It was very well organised and enjoyed by all that attended. It is a big boost for GM Fundraising, after suffering from the pandemic over the last few years”.

All funds raised at the event will go to Hope House Children’s Hospices, which has a mission to ensure that no one should face the death of a child alone. It costs £6.5 million every year to run its services and 86% of this is spent on care. Over 95% of Hope House’s annual costs are met through charitable donations and GM Fundraising is its largest single donor.

Gary concluded: “Like all charities, Hope House was hard-hit by the pandemic and fundraising is more important than ever. The support of the industry never ceases to amaze me and every pound raised goes towards helping the kids. Once again, on behalf of the whole GMF team, the families and, most importantly, the kids at Hope House, a huge thank you.”
