CAB Welcomes Glass Express Midlands

Nigel Headford – CAB Chief Executive

I am pleased to announce that Glass Express Midlands have applied for and been approved for membership of the Council for Aluminium in Building. They join a growing number of like minded businesses in the aluminium facade supply chain and myself and the CAB Team look forward to supporting their business in the coming year at our events and webinars.

Arun Photay, Glass Express Midlands Managing Director, explains, “We are over the moon to be certified as members of CAB. We pride ourselves on being a forward-thinking and dynamic business, and these values align perfectly with CAB’s mission.

“We’re excited to start attending CAB events and talking to other members – we can learn so much about the nuances of the sector from the businesses within CAB, which will then allow us to tailor our offering to further support aluminium projects.

“Equally, we feel that we have a lot of knowledge that we can pass along the supply chain about the glass-side of the industry, which will be invaluable to businesses when they come to specify and install.

“I have always stressed my commitment to professionalism and streamlining communication within the sector”, says Arun. “Being part of a trade association like CAB will allow Glass Express Midlands to partner with more forward-thinking businesses, and give us the opportunity to broaden our knowledge and service offering to meet more of the industry’s ever-evolving needs.”

2025 kicks off with the popular CAB Spring Forum which is to take place at The Deep in Hull. The format will be a conference followed by an evening dinner and after-dinner speaker for Members and their guests. The Deep, situated overlooking the Humber estuary, is an educational and conservation charity that features an impressive Aquarium. It offers both formal and informal conservation education to a wide-ranging audience, aiming to inspire and engage. Committed to the highest standards of animal care and welfare, The Deep plays an active role in breeding programs and field conservation efforts.

Engaging with members and the wider trade sector sees CAB taking a stand at the FIT Show in April 2025. The stand will primarily serve as a networking and meeting area for Members and guests, providing an excellent opportunity to educate visitors about our CSCS Training and Closed Loop Recycling Schemes, as well as the advantages of joining the Association. The entire team will relocate to the NEC to address any enquiries that current and prospective members may have concerning CAB. For the first time, FIT is adopting post-event recycling and this initiative will be prominently displayed with our Closed Loop Recycling logos, ensuring that all visitors are aware of CAB’s commitment to sustainability.
