Leading uPVC and aluminium fabricator TWR Group is celebrating the success of its latest apprentice Kailem Judd, who completes his training to become a fully qualified member of the aluminium fabrication team.

The 18-year-old, who joined TWR’s aluminium manufacturing headquarters in Peterlee 12 months ago, has successfully completed a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing in Production/Assembly apprenticeship.

Throughout his journey at TWR, Kailem was mentored by experienced fabricator Bernie Trombitas, whose guidance on the factory floor proved invaluable.

Reflecting on his experience, Kailem said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship at TWR Group. The hands-on experience has given me a real insight into the industry, and I’ve learnt so much. Bernie’s was fantastic, and I’m excited to start my career here.”

James O’Brien, Operations Director at TWR Group, said: “We’re immensely proud of Kailem’s progress over the past year. His dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and it’s been a pleasure to watch him develop his skills and confidence.”

The success of Kailem’s apprenticeship underscores TWR Group’s commitment to nurturing young talent in the industry. and James added: “At TWR, we’ve always been strong supporters of apprenticeship programmes as they are vital for bringing the next generation into our sector.

“While it’s not uncommon for apprentices to move on in any industry after qualifying, we’re thrilled that Kailem has chosen to continue his career with us, which speaks volumes about the positive environment we have created at TWR. He has a bright future ahead, and we’re excited to support his continued growth and development within our team.”
