Leading independent hardware distributor Carl F Groupco has reported an upturn in demand for hardware solutions to support the growing trend for aluminium doors and internal screening systems. John Crittenden, Managing Director at Carl F Groupco, explains: “Systems such as the SD70 TruEnergy Door from Jack Aluminium that replicate art-deco or industrial style have grown in popularity. And the hardware that such solutions require has seen a similar growth in interest. These slimline solutions have very specific hardware requirements, and our high-quality FUHR multisafe 856 multipoint locking system complements these aluminium heritage door products.”
The FUHR 856 lever-operated door lock offers shootbolt locking for single and French aluminium doors. It is available with large back set centre cases of 55 – 65mm that are perfect for aluminium heritage doors, while the flat 16mm, 20mm or U-Rail faceplate options also suit most aluminium profiles. The locks can be used on left- and right-opening doors for versatility and reduced stockholding.
As FUHR products, the locks come with an outstanding reassurance of quality. The door locks have been tested to at least 200,000 operations and there are robust handle mounts to ensure the lever handle remains in the correct horizontal position.
Carl F Groupco has been a supply partner of FUHR, the renowned manufacturer of high-quality multipoint locking systems, for over 60 years. The company carries the most extensive FUHR range of products in the UK and is the company’s largest customer worldwide. It makes it a reliable source of FUHR products and expertise.
John concluded: “We pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of customer care and support. That includes having a comprehensive understanding of current trends and stocking the hardware solutions our customers will need to capitalise on market growth. The stocked FUHR range from Carl F Groupco is the perfect example of this ethos.”
