Shelforce has won Business of the Year at the Great British Business and Community Awards 2023 – leading to a double celebration after the company also received The King’s Award for Enterprise in Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility).
The Great British Business and Community Awards shine a light on businesses, charities, and individuals that have achieved, contributed, impacted, and made a difference across Great Britain.
The Birmingham window and door manufacturer, which specialises in providing high-quality PVCu windows and Fire doors to local authority building projects, impressed the judges, who commented on Shelforce’s huge business growth, inclusive approach to employment and training, and strong company culture.
Shelforce also demonstrated its capacity to grow, plans for future development and its ability to adapt, diversify, and contribute to the community.
Shelforce received the award on the day they were recognised with The King’s Award for Enterprise and Business manager, Howard Trotter, who was presented with the award at the black-tie award ceremony at the Hilton, Reading, on behalf of the company said: “To receive the Business of the Year award in the evening after the announcement that we had been awarded The King’s Award for Enterprise was a momentous day for Shelforce and the team.
“Being recognised for both our inclusivity and the manufacturing side of the business is fantastic as both are the reasons behind our continued success. The Great British Business and Community Awards recognise businesses that have made an outstanding contribution across Great Britain, and we are delighted to win the award.”
