Clearview Home Improvements’ Charity Partner, The Boathouse Youth, Claims Major Prize at the 2023 Red Rose Awards

Clearview Home Improvement’s longstanding charitable partner, The Boathouse Youth, has prevailed at Lancashire Business View’s Red Rose Awards, winning the Not-for-Profit Category.

Clearview, the leading installer of windows, doors and living spaces in the North West, has supported The Boathouse Youth for several years by providing the Blackpool-based charity with significant financial and material donations, as well as giving opportunities for its employees to volunteer.

The Boathouse Youth is Blackpool’s leading young person’s charity, and our support directly contributes towards their provision of high-quality Youth Work.

Clearview’s Greg Kane said: “We are extremely proud to support the work of The Boathouse Youth and delighted to hear of their news of winning this prestigious award.”

The Red Rose Awards are held in Blackpool every year and play out in front of an audience of more than 1,000 business professionals. This 2023 event saw the awards celebrated for the thirteenth time!

Laurance Hancock, CEO of The Boathouse Youth, said: “We have won this award for the perfect coming-together of our business model. This is what happens when major donors and grant-makers provide the resources that fund the employment of high-quality Youth Work professionals to deliver an informal education programme to young people that enables them to lead their best lives”.

Businesses from the length and breadth of the county vied for titles across a range of categories, with only the best of the best, as selected by a panel of expert judges, progressing through to the shortlist and a rigorous interview stage before being rewarded for their excellence.

Event founder Richard Slater, also the publisher of Lancashire Business View magazine, said: “The Red Rose Awards, now in its thirteenth year, are very hotly contested, so The Boathouse Youth should be very proud that they have seen off all the competition to win this award!”

Greg concluded: “We believe The Boathouse Youth’s impact will be stronger because of this achievement. It will undoubtedly help them continue generating the change and support needed for the young people of Blackpool.

“We’re immensely proud of their work, and we extended our warmest congratulations to Laurence Hancock and the team.”
