Managing Director of market-leading hardware distributor Window Ware, Sam Nuckey, will join a stellar line-up of industry experts on stage at the Glazing Summit.
Sam will be a panellist on the much-anticipated ‘Conquering the Supply Chain Crisis’ debate, which will discuss how the industry can resolve quality, delivery and cost issues – and why some suppliers are doing better than others.
With Window Ware at the sharp end of keeping up with the extraordinary levels of demand for hardware from customers, Sam is perfectly placed to provide an accurate and up-to-the-minute view on the impact fluctuations in the supply chain have had on fabricators and installers.
“The hottest topic at this year’s Glazing Summit will definitely be the ongoing supply chain crisis, which has played havoc with the industry,” commented Sam.
“Two years ago, concerns were centred around the effects that Brexit and a global shortage of increasingly expensive raw materials would have on the supply chain. Throw an 18-month global pandemic into the mix, and those supply issues and bottlenecks have only intensified.”
The Bedford-based company has tackled the challenges head-on for their customers. They’ve been buying much earlier than usual, investing heavily in extra stock, increasing order sizes and working closer than ever with their supply partners to secure essential stock and be first in line for finished shipments.
Andrew Scott, founder of the Glazing Summit, said: “The industry is in a strangle-hold with global material shortages, manufacturing delays and spiralling costs, and I’m delighted to welcome Sam onto the panel to discuss the full impact these factors have had across the board.”
For the third year in a row, Window Ware is sponsoring the Glazing Summit. The event, which takes place on Thursday 21st October at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre in Birmingham, aims to tackle the key issues facing the industry head on.
Sam added: “The Glazing Summit provides an invaluable opportunity for the industry to come together to discuss the challenges we all face and how we can move forward in these unrelenting times. With all the market indicators predicting demand will continue to outstrip global supply into 2022, it’s vital we join forces to overcome ongoing supply chain issues, build in more resilience and continue to support our customers businesses.”
