With 98% of attendees surveyed stating that they would attend the Glazing Summit in 2020, the event is clearly a worthwhile edition to the industry calendar.
The one-day conference attracted almost 350 leaders from the glazing industry and certainly built on the success of last year.
25 expert and keynote speakers took to the stage at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre to discuss and debate some of the biggest issues facing the glazing industry – and those in attendance were suitably impressed.
Justin Ratcliffe, Chief Executive of Cab, commented: “What we’ve had is probably one of the most realistic yet dynamic takes on the UK fenestration industry and that has been the Glazing Summit today.”
Russel Yates, Managing Director of AluK, commented: “The quality of the people here today was fantastic, and all the topical debates were covered well. I think it’s important for the industry to understand what the future looks like and how we get there.”
And Nigel Bishop, Group Sales Director of Liniar/Avantek added: “The Glazing Summit is so important as it gives an idea of how everybody is feeling in all the different sectors. I would definitely bring the team again next year.”
Glazing Summit founder Andrew Scott has been delighted with the response – but it has also provided some food for thought for next year’s event.
“It’s clear that the industry wants a platform for CEOs and business leaders to come together and share ideas, thoughts and opinions on all the biggest issues it faces, and we are delighted that the Glazing Summit provides that,” said Andrew.
“Our challenge now is to build on this success and make sure that we take next year’s event up a notch.”
Glazing Summit 2020 will take place next October at the same venue, with the date to be announced.
